The President called the meeting to order at 6:30pm.
Discussions:
Approve Minutes – Diane
A motion was made to approve the minutes of the July 30, 2025, meeting. A motion to accept the minutes was made by Allen and seconded by Adam. The motion was voted on and approved.
Diane will post the minutes to the forum for membership.
Financials – Lance
No report.
Events Committee
Kalama – Per Rose, this event will be happening next year.
Clearwater August– The beer garden wound up not being set up as expected. It was not a stellar vending event.
Clearwater November – We will be changing the pork/ribs/chicken to a Hawaiian theme this year. There will be a VIP dinner again this year and a judging class. Stacia and Mike M. will be the head judges for the judging class, and Diane will be in charge of cooking the meats for the class.
Enumclaw – The token amount for vending needs to be set. There will be no change to the split with the teams from last year. The contest announcement needs to be updated with the amounts.
Camp Korey – There will be no VIP component to the event. There will be regular sampling and demos for the public. Token value will be $3.
2026 Events – We need to start planning 2026 dates and putting together cooking and judging class dates. Lynden has expressed interest in doing another cooking class in 2026.
New Business -
The PNWBA storage locker in Portland needs to be sorted through and inventoried, and items dealt with so that the storage locker can be closed out.
Adjourn:
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 7:48pm and seconded. The motion was voted on and approved, and the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting will be on September 24, 2025, at 6:30pm.
