Important – Please Read

Many events on our calendar return year after year. Returning events will receive preference to keep their same weekend from the previous season. This helps create consistency for teams, judges, and communities.

If a returning event needs to move to a different weekend, you must contact the PNWBA Events Committee before confirming your new date. This is very important. We look at scheduling across all PNWBA sanctioned events, as well as other BBQ events in our region, to help reduce conflicts and support strong participation.

Event Dates

The dates listed on the calendar are either confirmed or based on dates from the prior season. Events marked “to be determined” may change depending on the overall schedule and coordination with other events.

Registration Timelines

Team registrations usually open 60 to 90 days before the event date.

Judge registrations usually open 30 to 45 days before the event date.

Exact timing may vary depending on the event, so check the event page for details.

Non-Competition Dates

Some dates that do not currently show a competition may be available for a new BBQ event. If you are interested in a specific weekend, email our Events Team to check availability.

Before you finalize and submit a sanction application, please take these steps:

o Review the event calendar for possible date conflicts
o Contact our Events Team at events@pnwba.com
o Confirm that your requested date is available
o Share details about your event plans
