BBQ World Cup Qualifying Events

The Pacific Northwest BBQ Association is proud to have two of our events for the 2026 BBQ Calendar Year, with both events qualifying for the Oct 2025 through Sep 2026 Team of the Year qualifying window.

What is the BBQ World Cup?   

The BBQ World Cup is a global championship that invites top-performing pitmasters from approved barbecue events to compete on the world stage.

Important: The BBQ World Cup is not owned or operated by the PNWBA nor the PNWBA sanctioned events. Events listed remains fully governed by its organizer and the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association.  The BBQ World Cup works with the organizer and sanctioning body to determine eligibility.

How the events listed below qualifies teams

● The events listed are an official BBQ World Cup qualifier

● Teams compete under the PNWBA rules

● Qualification is earned based on results at the listed events

● The event organizer will communicate:

o Number of qualifying spots

o Procedures if a qualified team declines

● If a pitmaster has already qualified for the BBQ World Cup at a prior event, the qualifying spot will pass to the next eligible team in the overall standings, as determined by the event organizer in coordination with the BBQ World Cup
