Limited to 25 Teams. After 25 teams, additional will be waitlisted. Waitlisted teams will be accepted as additional space is available based on team count.

As this is a fully sanctioned 1-day lite cook, it should be a Jack qualifier if we have 15 teams turning in ALL entries.

Awards

Site Inspection:
• Between 7:00am and 9:30 am.
REQUIRED Cook’s Meeting:
• 10 am

- 1:00pm – Beef Tri-Tip
- 2:00pm – Chicken
- 3:00pm – Ribs
Window is 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after each hour.
Safety Requirements:
For safety, the following requirements must be followed:
Masks – Masks must be always worn when indoors. Masks must cover nose and mouth. Masks and gloves must be work when sampling to the public.
Team Requirements:
Please review the Team Rules Page, even if you are an experienced team. Each site will be inspected to meet these requirements. If you are a new to competition BBQ team or new to PNWBA competitions, we recommend visiting our New Team Info page.
Entry Fee:
Entry fee is $150.00 USD. A designated amount of $12.50 from the entry fee is non-refundable to cover payment and event processing expenses. In the event of a cancellation by the event coordinator, $137.50 will be refunded from the entrants payment.
Sampling / People Choice Award:
Optional People’s Choice Award for the category of Street Food with a $500 prize pool, with $300 for first and $200 for second. Public purchases $2 sample tickets, with profits to be donated to local food bank. There is a 50/50 split of the $2 tickets between event and team. Winning teams will be based on ticket count. Sample times are between 11am and 4:30 pm with turn-in of tickets at 4:30 to tally for the awards.
PNWBA is not responsible for sampling money collection or distribution of team split and is managed directly with the event organizer.
Power:
• Please plan to bring a generator if needed.
Ash / Trash / Grey Water / Grease disposal:
• Provided by Venue. For grease, please cool before placing in trash.

Event Location, due to the number of teams, will be be on Railroad Avenue. Set your GPS to look for Onemish Lodge ( 108 W Railroad Ave N, Skykomish, WA 98288 ) and James Jones will be there to direct to your site. Plan on bringing a protective pad for your smoker if located on grass.
