The class is limited to 24 students, with volunteer opportunities for Table Captains and Meat Wranglers/Volunteers. Waitlists have been activated for each role if capacity is reached.
Do you think you know what is good “BBQ”?
Are you a competition BBQ pitmaster looking to get a better idea of what judges look for to improve your scores?
Have you wondered exactly what happens during a BBQ competition in the judges’ tent?
Do you love smoked traditional BBQ meats?
Here is your chance to become a certified BBQ judge and to taste some of the best BBQ in the Pacific Northwest. As a class participant you will have the opportunity to sample four competition meats:
- Chicken
- Pork Ribs
- Pork Butt (Shoulder)
- Beef Brisket
Upon completion of the class, you will be able to sign up to judge at any PNWBA sanctioned BBQ event.
When: Friday, May 16th, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM
What to bring: Bring a notebook and pen to take notes, and bring your appetite - there will be delicious BBQ meats sampled during class.
Entry Fee: $95.00 USD per Student, free for volunteers. Entry fees include one year of PNWBA Membership. $10.00 of registration is non-refundable for processing fees.
Cancellations and refunds(less processing fees) available through May 14, 2025.
