I am reaching out for some help. I was asked to cook a whole hog for a friends son's graduation. I was wondering if anyone has a good butcher? I currently live in Oak Harbor, but work in Everett. I will be feeding approximately 100 people so also curious how big a Hog I will need? Thanks in Advance...

Cash and carry, can order whole hogs, also check independent butcher shops. We cooked a 85lb, hog for Coos Bay Eagles club, plus 4 pork butts just to be sure we had enough, to feed 120 people. had meat left over. maybe this helps. thanks Pepper Pappy.

One pound per person of uncooked hog. Also depends if your cooking for boys are girls. When I was 17 I could eat a whole hog myself. BBQ meat is cheap so over do it. No one ever got mad for too much food.

Cash and Carry does have whole hog but you need to give the 2 weeks out minimum and hog comes frozen so, plan on time to thaw. There are price breaks after 125 lbs. You can check with Double D's in Mountlake Terrace not that far from Everett about 20 minutes south they should be able to get fresh hog for you.

Kapowsin Meats is where the dead little piggies I've ordered from the Butcher Shop Cafe come from.

You might try them directly. I've heard firsthand from hog cooks more knowledgable than myself that it is the place to go.

To the North, Del Fox or Silvana Meats are two other places that got the thumbs up.
