Couple of extra things...
This is the 25th anniversary of this event so we really want to kick-it-up!
Since Saturday is the chili and special categories day we are adding a "Show" Component.
Traditionally this takes place in a BIG way in Terlingua at the world Chili Championships.
It's a way for teams to have fun with the public and win some cash. It will be judged by sponsors and firefighters who will wander around and see who has the best interaction with the public. You can do anything...legal. It could be a putting contest or musical bit or cow milking (I've seen it!) or anything interactive. Make the folks have fun and you will get points.
Also we will be doing a pre-order on Festival shirts (not t-shirts!). As soon as we nail down the best deal we will post the samples. They will be embroidered with the Festival logo and 25th anniversary on the breast. The designs are looking very cool and we'll have more info soon. |

This is a great event, especially for start up teams with only an $85 entry fee and a lot of extra ways to win some money!
Definitely worth making the effort to cross the border!

We haven't got the shirt deal worked out yet and that shouldn't have been posted yet. I think that was our web guy getting his layout done.
Don't order a shirt yet, we will post an update and fix the price when we have a deal. |

A few questions?
Can I park my motorcycle in the pit area as part of the show? (No burnouts or idling. Maybe the occasional throttle rapping for the kids)
Ground cover required for all teams.
Is this the stanard under pit protection or something more like cooking on grass/dirt/gravel?

The deal for shirts has been finalized!
With this year being the 25th Anniversary of the competition we wanted to do more than just t-shirts. We have had a company come on board with us to make this both possible and reasonable.
We are offering a reduced price pre-order to teams, judges and sponsors this year. If you have already registered online and ordered a t-shirt and want to upgrade or order more items you can now on our web page. The mailing address is also on the registration page if you want to mail your form and cheque into us.

Shirts ordered before June 1 will be on site June 23 for pick up. Orders after June 1 cannot be guaranteed but we will try if the order hasn't been filled (if not doable it will be mailed to you).

Women's 25th Anniversary embroidered shirts
$45 (black or red) up to XL only
Festival t-shirts
$15 (white or black) up to XL, $20 over XL

| Yes you can Michael. The shirts are available up to 5XL Just fill out the form online or mail us a cheque. There should be a comment box on the online registration form today and make note of the size change. Otherwise I will remember to upsize it for you. |

We now have a qualifier rock on! Still of my BBQ friend who have not signed up lets make this the biggest of the year. All money raised either goes to the charity or to the cooks!
