The Cloverdale Cowboy Cook-off at the Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair is presented by Well Seasoned.
Friday May 18th through Monday May 21st
$10,000.00 PRIZE MONEY Trophies/ribbons/cash for top 10
Location: The Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair fairgrounds http://www.cloverdalerodeo.com (about15 minutes due north of the truck crossing at Blaine, Washington)
This is a first year event & will require 15 teams to be a qualifier.
The BBQ contest is part of a huge rodeo and country fair - It's being hosted in a great facility with plenty of room for you, your RV (if we know in advance that you have one) & all of your gear. There is adequate access to power, bathrooms and plenty of "amenities"
There will be one extra category on Saturday with a 5pm turn in "Battle Pork". A CASI Pacific Pod Chili Cook-off and the GREAT BC BAKE-OFF. Please see both entry forms for the rules and specifications regarding your entries.
NEWS FLASH!
We have confirmed our Chef's Choice component at this event – it is BATTLE BACON! The turn in time has been moved 1 hour ahead to 5pm to accommodate everyone that wants to cook.
Our fabulous, very generous sponsor Johnston’s Pork www.johnstons.ca will be providing each team with 5 lbs of their very best BACON made from the top quality BC Pork this bacon is bloody fantastic!
Your mission is to turn those 5 lbs of porky goodness into something life alteringly delicious! You can literally, do anything you want.
The bacon will be delivered to the teams Saturday morning and the turn in time is 5pm on Saturday. There are no limitations to this category other than your tray cannot be bigger than 18x18 (standard PNWBA rules apply of course) and your submission must be prepared on site.
Put your thinking caps on folks, let's have some fun.
Prizes & wicked trophies will be paid out as follows; (this is over & above, not included in the main prize money total)
Ribbons 4th - 10th place
3rd place - $100 + trophy
2nd place - $150 + trophy
1st place - $250 + trophy/bragging rights
The registration forms are up and we are accepting payment in cash or cheque by mail or over the phone with your credit card. Payment must be made in advance - on site payment is not accepted.

PLEASE NOTE;
This venue has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR ALCOHOL. If you are found with open alcohol you will be asked to leave the facility and subsequently disqualified from the competition. DISCRETION IS MANDATORY - use a coffee mug or other non-conspicuous container. Not a red solo cup.
This event relies heavily on their liquor license - consuming alcohol in an area that is unlicensed is strictly prohibited and will result in the entire venue being fined and potentially shut down. We will unfortunately be required to check all weekend to ensure that all of the participants are compliant. We appreciate your assistance and understand this creates another level of detail that as a head cook you must pay attention to. If you feel you can't comply or for some reason are unwilling to help us be compliant, don't come. We will not be flexible in this regard. Thank you for helping us respect our hosts and the sponsors writing the big cheques.
