The Montana State BBQ Championship in Stevensville Montana will be held August 3rd & 4th
We have room for 30 teams and 11 of them will be allowed to vend there BBQ to the public. Please sign up early if you plan on vending, the first 11 teams that want to vend and meet the health dept requirements will be the only teams we will have vending.
As of today I have 5 teams signed up to vend and that only leaves room for 6 more. If you need help with the temporary food service license ,any questions regarding space, RV's trailers ect. please feel free to call me.

yes sir! we are doing everything PNWBA from now on. the only reason for the later turn ins are due to the parade and the bbq venders giving them time to sell some product before turn ins.

Thanks Brett, we want to get in on the anything but. My girls ages 13 and 17 want to try the kids q, that is if they are still considered kids. Most of the time I think they are.

Anything but needs to be prepared in the pit or on the grill.
deserts, salads ect can be turned in as long as the primary ingredient is prepared in the smoker or grill!!!!
kids Q is burgers and we will supply the meat, buns and condiments to be supplied by the teams.
Please remember, This is a BBQ contest and not a hot plate or microwave event!!

It would be great to have an exception for our rural areas to allow for some qualifier exception clause. We do all we can to participate wherever feasible and try to encourage new team participation. Perhaps we can get some sort of "mentor program" exception for bringing in new members and first time teams to enjoy this thing we call bbq. It seems sometimes teams just don't think they can compete or if it does not look like a turnout enough to create a qualifier, some won't come.

I'd also like to propose the synthetic putting green idea. PNWBA officially sanctioned 9x9 squares of garnish so none of us have to bust our humps with something that is supposed to be overlooked. And I don't have to make any more offensive t-shirts. LOL.
