Posted - 03/27/2012 : 10:34:51 After reading internet rumors I checked my local HD online (Tigard, OR store) and it shows Kingsford Blue bag 2x 14 for $5.88. I'd heard the sale was supposed to start officially on Friday, but it looks like the deal is on now. I'm going to check it out after work. |

Posted - 03/29/2012 : 10:49:41 The advertised special is a 2-pack of the 13.9 lb bags @ $5.88 and the "in-company" directive to staff is "while supplies last". So, Erik, if you're in the Tacoma area, where they don't have jerks for managers, there you go. I deal with the "Fircrest" or "Center St" store but there's one right by I-5 at 72nd St, too.--------------------- NOW - Here's what I wonder. Are we going to see a "big bag" sale for Memorial day as we have the past few years? Sometimes it hits in April. Last year we saw a couple. 2x20lb bags for $10.97 and another one in some locations 2x20lb bags for $7.95. ______________ In the final analysis, the current offer of the 2x13.9 lb bags at $5.88 is about 22 cents a pound the 2x20 @ $10.97 is abut 27 cents a pound (If we see it) the 2x20 @ 7.97 is the winner at about 20 cents a pound BUT I'm not counting on seeing that $7.97 deal again this year. I honestly don't see where you're going wrong with ANY of these. My plan? Snatch up some of the $5,88 @ 22 cents a pound and IF something like the 2x20 @ $7.95 DOES pop up, I'll buy more. Simple. OK Brian, go back to sleep. Nighty night. |

Posted - 03/29/2012 : 07:34:19 Last time Home Depot had that sale on in Tumwater, they pulled the old, "Limit 2 bags per customer" on me. I challenged that there was nothing posted to that effect and asked the manager to confirm that restriction... she immediately took out a marker and wrote it on the placard which was advertising the sale. I was less than thrilled. I'll see if I get similar results again this time. |

Posted - 03/27/2012 : 12:19:04 Correction: I called before going out to the store- looks like even though this price is on the web site, they won't have it in stock (or at least available for purchase) until Friday. |
