Our 6th annual Harvest Festival is shaping up and we're excited about how the BBQ competition is coming together. Once again our event will be on the shores of beautiful Banks Lake (aerial view of the park can be found here: www.grandcouleedam.org/downloads/BBQMAP.pdf).
We've added a side category competition again this year for no additional charge for those teams who want to participate for a $500 purse, on Saturday, September 16th ($250 each category).
1. The first category is "Anything between two buns." This category requires contestants to supply their own ingredients and one of the ingredients must be some type of meat. The heat source for cooking the meat must be from charcoal, wood and/or wood pellets. Gas or electric is allowed for the heating of water or other ingredients. Turn-in time for this category is 3:00pm.
2. The second category is "Anything Mac 'n Cheese." This category too requires contestants to supply all their own ingredients and two of the ingredients must be macaroni and cheese. Any fuel source is allowed. Turn-in time for this category is 4:00pm.
