Entry Fees are non-refundable, but may be applied to a future event at the discretion of the PNWBA board.

9:30 AM Vehicles must be removed from cook site

5:00 PM Pitmasters’ Challenge voting ends
6:00 PM Pitmasters’ Challenge – Top 3 – Live Judging & Awards

11:00 AM – 4:30 Sampling to the Public

Load-Out Time after 8pm 

  • Sampling is REQUIRED.  If you don’t sample, you don’t compete.

    • Sampling Hours

      • 11:00 am to 7:30 pm Saturday

      • 11:00 am to 4:30 pm Sunday

    • Quantity

      • Minimum 200 samples available on Saturday as determined by tickets redeemed

      • Minimum 150 samples available on Sunday as determined by tickets redeemed

      • $2.50 samples must be 2 oz – NO LARGER, this is a Spring Fair requirement

      • $5.00 samples for single ribs and single pieces of chicken are also allowed, but only for meats that cannot be cut down to 2 oz size

  • Sampling, not Vending

    • The Spring Fair has other vendors selling full meals.  Our samples are limited in size to encourage fairgoers to try samples from multiple teams

    • BBQ meats And Sides are acceptable, but no full meal options. Sample only.

NOTE: Every team must have a 2A 40 BC or 3A 40 BC fire extinguisher with a current inspection tag or a current receipt. Current means less than 1 year old! Check your fire extinguisher before arriving! No fire extinguisher, no cooking!

RELEASE—Waiver of Liability: In consideration of your accepting this entry, I the undersigned, intending to
be legally bound hereby, forever release discharge and hold harmless the Pacific Northwest Barbecue
Association (PNWBA), its Officers and Board Members, event coordinators and judges, and Washington State
Spring Fair BBQ Playoffs, its agents, volunteers and employees from any and all liability for damages,
injuries, or loss of any type whatsoever which may arise directly or indirectly as the result of the operation of
Washington State Spring Fair BBQ Playoffs. I agree that my participation shall be at my own risk and
expense; and that whatever goods, services, entertainment or any other lawful pursuit which I may provide or
participate in, to any extent, is at my own free will, expense and exposure; and that this RELEASE is given of
my own free will and accord. Further, I hereby grant full permission to the PNWBA, Washington State
Spring Fair BBQ Playoffs and/or their agents authorized by them, to use any photographs, videotapes, motion
pictures, recordings or other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I agree to abide by the rules and
regulations of the PWNBA. The PNWBA reserves the right to refuse entry.
